Part-time jobs drive rise in employment

The number of South Africans with jobs rose 0.4% quarter on quarter in the three months to endJune, driven mainly by an increase in part-time jobs. Stats SA’s latest Quarterly Employment Statistics report shows total formal employment rose due to increases in the community services, business services, mining and electricity sectors.
